SPAS offers academic programmes that cover various areas in the Scientific labour market in the country. This gives students an opportunity to choose areas of their interest as per the market demands in society.
School of Pure and Applied Science
The School of Pure and Applied Sciences (SPAS) was created in 2013 due to labour market need of scientist in the country and forms one of 8 schools of the university. The school has four departments namely; (1) Department of Mathematics and Actuarial sciences, (2) Biological Sciences, (3) Physics Department and (4) Chemistry department. The School has a student population of approximately over 3000, and has seven Ph.D. programs, ten master of science programmes, twenty-one undergraduate programs and one diploma program distributed across the four departments. The School has two Technical staff attached to Deans office.
